Full Details
Shibui Side Stand brings several of the collection’s defining details into a compact form. It is a companion for a favourite chair, with a timber top and a handwoven Danish cord tray beneath.
Contrasting wedged-tenon legs pass through the top, making the construction visible from above. The cord tray adds a second texture and a lighter layer below the solid surface, giving the piece a balanced, open appearance.
Made by hand, it pairs well with the Yoisho Chair or the Shibui Chair and Footstool. Its restrained proportions allow it to sit comfortably alongside other furniture while retaining a clear character of its own.

Material
Available in Ash, Oak and Walnut. The handwoven Danish cord is made from FSC responsibly sourced paper.
Natural differences in grain and colour are part of the character of timber, so each piece will have its own appearance. Please discuss your preferred timber and finish when enquiring.
Longevity
Made to be used and cared for over time. Dust with a soft cloth, wipe up spills promptly and protect surfaces from hot items and prolonged moisture. Keep timber away from direct heat and sustained strong sunlight.
Timber naturally responds to its surroundings. Please ask for care advice suited to your chosen finish before using oils, polishes or cleaning products.
Treat woven cord gently and avoid soaking it. Ask for advice before attempting stain removal or repairs.
Environment
Our timber is sourced from a supplier with FSC® and PEFC chain-of-custody certification, whose approach includes careful material use and the recovery and reuse of timber waste.
The Danish cord used in this piece is made from FSC responsibly sourced paper.
